Beauty Tracker is a diary for your hair routine. This policy explains what the app stores, where it is kept, and how to delete it. The app is published by Cody Hergenroeder and made with Camryn's Curls ("we").
The short version: we store what you log so it can sync to your account. We don't show ads, we don't track you across other apps or websites, and we don't sell or share your data. You can delete your account and everything in it from Settings at any time.
What we store
- Account details: your name, email address and password. Passwords are stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider; we never see them.
- Your hair profile: the answers you give during onboarding, such as curl pattern, strand texture, density and goals.
- What you log: your products and their details, the days you wash, what you used at each step and when, and your check-ins: a 1 to 5 rating, the words you pick for how your hair and scalp feel, and any notes.
- Photos you add: check-in photos, product photos and a profile photo, only when you choose to add them.
Scalp words such as itchy or flaky are stored like any other check-in entry. The app does not diagnose anything, and its notes are general information, not medical advice.
What we don't collect
No advertising identifiers, no location, no contacts, and no analytics or tracking tools. The app only reads your camera or photo library when you tap to add a photo.
How we use it
Only to run the app: to sign you in, sync your logs across your devices, and show your calendar and charts. We may read an email you send us in order to answer it.
Where it is kept
Your data is stored in the United States by two service providers that process it on our behalf and may not use it for anything else:
- Neon
- Database and sign-in (hosted on Amazon Web Services)
- Cloudflare
- Photo storage and the app's server
Data is encrypted in transit, and each account can only read its own records.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings → Delete account. This immediately and permanently deletes your account, everything you logged, and all your photos. Deleted records may remain in our database provider's short-term recovery history for up to 30 days before they are gone for good.
You can also ask us to delete your data, or to send you a copy of it, by emailing curltracker.support@camrynscurls.com.
Children
Beauty Tracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
